Peacock Lady

Technical pens
Approximately 3 hours

More form my new pens.

I grew in the flaming middle of the psychedelic movement in art and music. Somewhere along the way I made the connection between the influence that is the Arts and Crafts movement, art nouveau; and artists like Aubrey Beardsley, Maxfield Parrish, and Paul Gauguin had on the psychedelic movement.

This drawing is based largely on some of the posters I loved from the psychedelic movement. Posters that my parents would not let me have but my dear Gran would hide for me in her piano bench. And it is also deeply influenced by everything I have ever learned about art nouveau and its ties to the psychedelic movement.

Very pretty. I like the flow of the lines, and how it leads your eye around the image.
