Well, I will start saying that this piece is absolutely incredible, I know you put a lot of effort on this and the technique is so good! But, the left backpaw (sorry if that last word isn't in english) It looks some strange respectly on the body and the position of the frog. Also the nose is more bigger than a real frog. The eyes are great, but maybe if you put more time/effort on them they will be better. The part of the center in the big flower, It looks some strange too... maybe It must be a bit more in the top, If will be there it seems more like a realistic flower ^^ But I must admit that tis picture is so awesome and all those little mistakes make it so amazing! Hope that this critique helps
I really like it! You've got a great eye for colours. They suit perfectly. The frog you've drawn looks very realistic and my only advice would concern lines. You could work a bit on making them looking less rough.
and you say you've never touched water colors before!?!
I love the flow of this piece... My eye starts in the upper left hand corner and is directed down to the lower right. Then moves to the left side by way of the leaf vein and the frogs glance. Finally the streaks of color bring me to the flower in the upper right. The colors work very well together! The only part that doesn't appeal to my eye is the clutter just above the frogs right eye. I don't feel it detracts from the piece however.
